Harassment & Discrimination

The Sioux Falls School District is committed to providing a learning and working environment free of unlawful harassment/discrimination based on an individual's race, color, religion, creed, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or other basis prohibited by law.
Any person who believes he or she has been the victim of harassment/discrimination as defined by District policy and regulation (see below), shall report the alleged acts immediately to the building principal, the department director, or the Civil Rights Officer, Brett Arenz (605) 367-4670. The report shall be on a form available from the principal at each building, from the Human Resources Department, or printed from this page (see below).
The District will investigate all reports of harassment/discrimination and will discipline or take appropriate action against any student or other school personnel who is found to have violated the Harassment and/or Discrimination Policy and Regulation.
